How can I find my natural speaking voice?

For some reason, I've felt that my natural speaking voice, I just can't find it. I always feel it's to high and sometimes I can talk at a level I feel I like the best, that is the %26quot;most natural%26quot;. If I start off my morning with a somewhat high voice that's how it will be until I get more through my day and when it comes to a close it usually varies. Regularly I have a very deep voice, and I'm told so. I am unsure if people notice changes in your voice as much as you do? Is their a way I can find my natural speaking voice? It always feels kind of strange and off, like a decibel to high. (I have no idea how much a decibel is.) If I talk to someone I'm really chill with, I feel I reach this natural point. But I feel like It's hard to reach that any other time.

steven i feel the %26quot;pitch%26quot; of your voice %26amp; your %26quot;natural speaking voice%26quot; are different things. your natural speaking voice is the way you say something, your accent, your choice of words, how you talk, how your voice expresses different emotions.

the %26quot;pitch%26quot; is something that as you noted drops during the day.

singers do exercises during the morning to %26quot;relax%26quot; %26amp; %26quot;train%26quot; their voice.

a decibel is a measurement between how loud one thing is compared to another.

i find that i tend to use my speaking voice on the phone %26amp; that really brings out the sound of my own voice to me.

hope this helps

your vocal cords need to be stretched like any other muscle(well the muscles that control them). When you get up in the morning do some humming and maybe some basic scales. you know, a a a a a a a a a

and increase, then decrease the pitch of each aaa. Once your voice is warmed up you should be good.
talk normal

like you AVERAGELY DO.

hey, there it is!

Is my voice getting deeper?

Im 13 (7th grade) and right now my throat is all stuffed up and i can barely talk with out making some scratchy sound. Im not sick cuz i have normal temp, no runny nose, feeling cold, etc. Also im thinking that my voice sounds different but im not sure. Is this what happened to you when your voice changed? Also how old were you?
Is my voice getting deeper?
I'm 14 (9th grade) and my voice changed in about 8th grade. I have no recollection of my throat being stuffed up, but I did have a hoarse throat about one week before my voice started to change. However, it's different for everyone. No one is the same.
Is my voice getting deeper?
thats what happened me though i was 14 when happened me (so i can still throw an incredibly high pitched voice) p.s. im 15
Your voice is changing, so don't worry about it..

It's natural. My voice chance around your age, but it didn't change as much as most of the other boys.

And for the most part, some boys don't even notice it when it does.

  • How can you make your voice sound different?

I can sing pretty well, as far as hitting notes and everything. I just really dont like the sound of my voice too much. Is there any way to change this? haha

    thanks
How can you make your voice sound different?
It really depends on a few things. If you are younger, your voice will change naturally a few times as you get older. If you just don't like the overall sound, it depends on what you don't like about it. There are some things you can fix (i.e. airy sound, too much vibrato etc) It's all about what exactly you want to change. But no worries, it more than likely can be done with training.

    Best of luck!

Guys: How did your family and friends react when your voice broke for the first time.?

Like when you lost your boy voice and started sounding like a man.

Just wondering because my nephew recently went through this change it was a big surprise to hear how different he sounded =)
Guys: How did your family and friends react when your voice broke for the first time.?
The same thing happened to me when I last talked to my grandparents last month. They thought I was my Dad. Honestly, I'm gonna miss my childhood a lot when I turn into an adult. I don't wanna grow up.
Guys: How did your family and friends react when your voice broke for the first time.?
They asked me if I got hit in the nuts.
On the phone people always thought they were talking to my dad. That was kind of annoying.
They handed me a microphone and made me sing with my 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
I'm a chick, that didn't happen to me.
    laughter.

    Now, it's therapy for me.

    %26quot;I%26#039;m Your Angel%26quot;

No Mountains too high, for you to climb

All you have to do is have some climbing faith, oh yeah

No rivers too wide, for you to make it across

All you have to do is believe it when you pray

And then you will see, the morning will come

And everyday will be bright as the sun

All of your fears cast them on me

I just want you to see...

I%26#039;ll be your cloud up in the sky

I%26#039;ll be your shoulder when you cry

I%26#039;ll hear your voices when you call me

    I am your angel

And when all hope is gone, I%26#039;m here

No matter how far you are, I%26#039;m near

It makes no difference who you are

    I am your angel

    I%26#039;m your angel

All you need is time, seek me and you shall find

You have everything and you%26#039;re still lonely

It doesn%26#039;t have to be this way, let me show you a better day

And I know we will survive

And when it seems as if your end is drawing near

    He%26#039;ll Do It Again -

you may be down and feel like God

    has somehow forgotten

that you are faced with circumstances

    you can%26#039;t get through

well, right now it seems that there%26#039;s no way out

    and you%26#039;re going under

but God%26#039;s proven time and time again

    He%26#039;ll take care of you

    chorus:

    and He%26#039;ll do it again

    He%26#039;ll do it again

if you%26#039;ll just take a look

    at where you are now

    and where you have been

    well, hasn%26#039;t He always

    come through for you?

He%26#039;s the same now as then

    you may not not how

    you may not know when

    but He%26#039;ll do it again

    well, God knows the things

    you%26#039;re going through

    He knows how you%26#039;re hurting

    you see, He knows

    just how your heart

    has been broken in two

but He%26#039;s the God of the stars

of the sun, and the seas

    and He is your father

    He can calm the storm

    and He%26#039;ll find a way

    to fix this for you...

    repeat chorus

He%26#039;s still God, and He will not fail you

yes, He%26#039;s still God and He will not change

oh, i know that He%26#039;s God

    and He%26#039;s fighting for you

just like moses, just like daniel

    just like meshach, shadrach, abednego

Stand in the Rain by Superchick

The chorus goes: So, Stand in the Rain

    Stand your ground

Stand up when it%26#039;s all crashing down

Some things in life are bad

They can really make you mad

Other things just make you swear and curse.

When you%26#039;re chewing on life%26#039;s gristle

    Don%26#039;t grumble, give a whistle

And this%26#039;ll help things turn out for the best...

And...always look on the bright side of life...

Always look on the light side of life...

    If life seems jolly rotten

    There%26#039;s something you%26#039;ve forgotten

And that%26#039;s to laugh and smile and dance and sing.

When you%26#039;re feeling in the dumps

    Don%26#039;t be silly chumps

Just purse your lips and whistle - that%26#039;s the thing.

    Can someone please help me?

Ok the story goes like this... I was cruising youtube the other day and i came across this invention called %26quot;talk box%26quot;. From what i see you can change your voice by pressing the keys on a keyboard/ strumming the strings on a guitar. I have to admit this is pretty cool, and i want a talk box you can hook up to a keyboard. But i don't have a decent keyboard, so i'm hoping you can answer these questions for me- How much does a keyboard cost that allows me to use talk box? Where can i get one? How much does a talk box cost and where can i get one?
    Can someone please help me?
    http://www.samash.com/webapp/wcs/stores/鈥?/a>

well, i'm no keyboardist but it seems that it might probably work...it is just an input and an output, although it will probably be mono output killing any stereo/pan sounds from the keyboard...the only thing to consider it seems is that since it has a pre-amp...be careful not to over juice your amps and stuff...should work...sounds nifty..

the very high end keyboards have similar effects built in and may be able to be controled from an external pedal...like a wah pedal but with the talk box effect...not sure if the keyboard outputs the right signal like a guitar does...so that is why you should go to a music store and ask them....ask them to try it out on a keyboard in the store.

    :)

    wah...wahhh..wwah...waaahhh...wah
    Can someone please help me?
try a garage sale. i got my son a 200 dollar one for 20.00 bucks ; usually there around 40 at garage sales

    I need help singing soprano?

I'm auditioning for a choir on tuesday, September 16th, and I need to try out for both the alto and soprano parts. I'm usually alto and I don't have a very high vocal range, but it is required that you sing both parts. I did some research online but it told me it could take around 3months to change your voice! How can I help myself learn to sing soprano well enough to be chosen? (If Helps any, i have to sing the first verse of Sing we and chant it)
    I need help singing soprano?
Usually they do this because they find that some people who were Alto's are actually stronger as Sopranos and vise versa. If you cannot sing Soprano then don't worry! As long as you are a strong Alto singer then you'll get in as Alto. Don't hurt your voice trying to reach a note that you just aren't ready to reach yet. Tell them before auditioning that you have a limited range and find Soprano difficult but you will try your best to sing it :)
