i'm 12 and i've been seriously thinking about getting my tongue pierced for about a year now. i just wanted to know if anyone has had their tongue piercing get infected and what happened when it did. also how much did it hurt and does it change your voice a lot when you talk?

sorry hun but you are a bit too young...i know im not one to talk because im getting my lip pierced, but im 14 u should wait a couple years before you do that, and as young as you are having your tongue pierced adults and teachers may look at you the wrong way and give you a really hard time trust me i know this for a fact! and getting your tongue pierced doesnt hurt because you dont have nerve endings in the middle of your tongue they are on the outter tongue...but it does swell up for a little while...it does change ur voice a little when its swollen. you should go to a professional because if its pierced wrong it can be a hassel and could also be infected so u have to be very careful! good luck(and like i said wait a couple years befor doing that)
oh!and btw, i wanted piercings when i was 12 too and i waited until i was 14...i havent gotten my lip pierced yet i may even wait until im 15 or 16!

you're too young, they won't let you get it done until you're 18.
People stopped piercing their tongues about ten years ago....

If you get it done too young the metal will chip your teeth until the nerves are left and that is painful. Wait a couple more years
it heals so fast because of the saliva and the heat in your mouth no joke. it hurts and you can barely talk for a few days but it heals like soooo fuuuuucking fast not even kidding dude.

well, i dont have it but it probablly DOESNT hurt that much because your tounge has no bone so it will go through easy.
ok i got my tounge pierced it didn't get infected if it got infected u would need to c a doctor it didnt hurt becayse it was very very quick and no it didnt change my voice just make sure they use a new needle before the pierce u

It's pointless to get anwhere besides your ears pierced.... even pokin a hole in yer dam ear is stupid! Whatever made poking a whole through your skin seeem attractive?

No reputable piercer will pierce your tongue at 12. MAYBE at 16 with parent consent, or else you will need to wait until you are 18.
Your tongue is a muscle, its very sensitive so yes it is pretty painful. You will probably talk with a lisp for a couple weeks, and eating can be a challenge for the first week. Your tongue will be swollen while it heals. There is also the risk of chipping your teeth when you have a piercing, so these are all things to consider.
Going to a reputable piercer is very important as they will clean all their equipment with an autoclave and keep a clean work area, as well as give you good advice on care of your piercing.
