For those with lip piercings!?

ok i want one once i turn 18 (im 17) so i have a few questions :)

kissing? is it tricky?

if you take the ring out for an interview, are they biassed? can you even see the hole?

how bad did it hurt?

how long did it hurt?

can i have braces with a lip ring?

is it harder to talk or eat? does it change your voice?

sorry so much....and thank you!

1. Not at all. Avoid kissing while it's healing though - it is an open wound.

2. You can't really see it, but in order for it not to heal, it would have to be well established. You can buy acrylic retainers which are very discreet (wildcat.co.uk are the best).

3. Hardly at all; have had injections that were worse.

4. Vaguely sore for a day or two, minimal swelling.

5. Yes, but obviously your jewellery options would be limited.

6. Eating might be restricted at first, but only the first few days; as a rule, orals heal quickly. No change to your voice.

All you need in the way of aftercare is salt water soaks no more than twice a day, and clean off any crusties with a cotton bud. Non alcohol based mouthwash after yu eat (Oraldene is great).

Good luck :)

kissing? is it tricky? not really, as long as the person kissing you is a good kisser. but if you have a labret stud in it is alot easier

if you take the ring out for an interview, are they biassed? not if you take it out!

can you even see the hole? not unless someone is like like 2 inches from your face. haha

how bad did it hurt? like a scale from 1-10, it would be a 3

how long did it hurt? as long as you take care of it, it should be fine. everyones is different:]

can i have braces with a lip ring? i wouldn't suggest it,

is it harder to talk or eat? does it change your voice? its harder to eat the first few days, but it does not change your voice
well first off it doesnt interfere with kissing if you take it out theres a chance that the hole will be visable. but it doesnt hurt at all i dont think. after the first few days there will be a little bit of swelling but its no biggie keep it clean. if the post of the lip ring isnt too long im sure you can wear it while you have braces. it doesnt change the way you talk, eat ,or the sound of your voice . when removing it dont use your teeth to keep it in place that could chip your teeth .
u can still have braces u will talk funny 4 the first few days till u get used 2 it
it is advisable not to wear any facial piercing to an interview, not even a tongue piercing. Most employers have bias with it, and all employment ites advise against showing piercing or tattoes at interviews.
