im 15 and getting my tonsils removed this friday (5/11/10) and ive heard real bad things about getting your tonsils removed. also i forget what its called but im also getting a lil flap of skin removed from my nose to allow me to breath easily. anyway i would also like a list of food i can eat. and does your voice change after the surgery?

I am getting that too.. even the thing to help me breath.. im not sure when im going in yet.. but im pree sure its sometime within the next 6 months. xD
my friend got the sergery, her voice turned real higher.. but it didnt last long.... only a couple months...my cousin also got that too, her voice sounded the same..
im pritty sure that it is gunna hurt for a while... but suck it up!!! it cant be that bad!
its not a major sergery! my cousin just got her tummy cut open... she is 8 and doig fine... im pree sure that you can get ur tonsils tooken out (btw she has ZERO! pain tolerance!) its prolly gunna suck to eat... but just drink cold juice. ice cream, jello.. all the yumy junk foods xD ahaha yogurt. Milk... haha... no solids..

i had both of them done when i was eight, the only bad thing about it is that you have a sore throat for liek two weeks after wards... but in the long run its a good idea for them both, especially if you get bad tonsilitus like i had...
the best thing to eat after the surgery is like softer sorts of foods, nothing too hot or scratchy, but other than that it doesnt really matter and it doesnt change your voice or anything
No, no, no. it's not painful at all. i got my tonsils removed five years ago, when i nine. it kinda felt weird after the operation, though. kind of like a harsh, numb feeling. but it wasn't to bad. and i had to eat icecream for like a week :D. the best things to eat after your operation are easy-to-swallow things, preferably cold, like icecream, and things of that nature. (:
