There are a lot of ways to change the sound of your voice. You have a head and a chest voice, which have different sounds and methods of production. Most people only use chest voice.The differences have to do with breath, where you %26quot;place%26quot; your voice, where you place the sound in your mouth, how open your throat may be, and a lot of other things.
These are some things you learn in class. But many singers are untrained, which can cause problems, for example, trying to go higher in an incorrect way.

Singing is putting notes and rhythm to words. Some syllables might be sung longer than others. The best way to learn on your own is to listen to a song and to imitate it.
