This is my pitch for my game, Darkness.?

Ok, so this game will be survival horror, but like you have never seen. The game takes place in modern day, but something happens were Darkness overwhelms the earth. Therefore, the game will be dark. In addition, you will have limited visibility, not if you happen to have a lighter, or a torch. It will be third person, kind of like Resident evil 4, and 5, but more behind the character. And you will not be able to change the camera, only you can tilt your head different ways, with an analog stick. So you tilt it right you look right. The game will focus on three diff rent groups, a mother and son, a mechanic, and a brother and sister. They'll each be playable at points in the game. And each one will have diff rent attributes. Like the Little boy cannot lift a chainsaw, he can drag it to his mother, but not attack with it. However, the mother cannot crawl through a tiny hole in the wall. The game will have no menus, excluding when you start the game. And there will only be a pause button. You can play the game three diff rent ways. One is more strategy and less fighting. Like, should I just run through killing everything in my path, or, finding a chainsaw to cut down a tree to topple my enemies, or setting traps. Or a mixture of both, like a more time consuming, plan where you blow up a car. The game will allow you to get lost and eventually make you go insane. They'll be three different areas, for the characters. The brother and sister will have to travel through the woods. The mom and son will be on a highway, with countryside to explore. And the mechanic will have a city to go through. The camera system will let you to look up and hit flying, or jumping enemies. The graphics will be top notch, a mixture between hydrophobia, and Resident Evil 5. The characters will interact like you have never seen. The mom may be wondering, while the little kid may be tugging her shirt, or interacting with scenery. Or you may be told, %26quot;Hey look at this%26quot;. and there be certain times where there will be quick time events. like those found in Heavy rain. For instance, your walking, and your caught in a wolf trap. Will you pull it of by clicking the left and right triggers, or look around and fight nearby enemies, while connected. There will be several different endings depending on your actions like if you save something or treat someone a certain way. If you carry your kid, or just let him walk. Certain instances the game's camera will make it where you see your character from the front. Like if your being chased or, running. And there won't be any repeats in dialogue. And if you run and trip, the clothes that hit the dirt will be dirty. And if you die their won't be a game over. You'll continue on either with your partner, or another character. The enemies in the game will all behave differently, depending on the character, location, and weather. And no enemy will look alike. The enemies will range from animals, to humans, and other objects. The weapons in this game our only limited to your imagination, to some degree. Use a rock if you want, or a tree branch, wrench, or even a knife. The guns in this game will be different, you鈥檒l be able to run and shoot, but the character will stumble or the controller will vibrate, since it is really hard to run and shoot at the same time. There will be instances were you can slit an enemies throat, or use the environment to take out your foes. There will be minimal music in the game. The rain will make noise, and where you step. The game will last to about 10-15 hours depending on how you play the game. And once you beat the game, you get unlockables, such as new scenarios, costumes, or even weapons. There will be online play, for certain modes. One is if you are the brother and sister, you can play with someone else. One unique thing though is you can change your voice to the characters if you wanted to. There will also be an online mode where you'll be pitted against several enemies and survive as long as you can. I will be pitching this game to, Nibris, the makers of Sadness, and children of the night, and I will also be pitching to Capcom. I am open to suggestions, and I would love to hear your feedback.

Sounds impressive. I like the idea of %26quot;no game over%26quot; but sorry, that wouldn't work, unless the game was a cakewalk and you practically never died. Plot wise, it may be interesting if there were certain points where certain characters HAD to die or be left behind. Like, maybe the brother/sister is wounded and there's no way for them to continue.



It sounds like a pretty solid fusion of Alone in the Dark and Siren: Blood Curse/RE4/5 to me.



But, on the downside, you're looking at a MASSIVE work load for that game-that much detail would make making that game take a very, very long time.



But it sounds like something I would buy. RE5 lovers would soak this up as well.



Just thought of a suggestion: To make it more appealing to the huge mass of shooter lovers, you could, story wise, follow maybe a police/military squad. You probably thought of this, but each characters should improve logically. The brother might be able to swing a pipe harder and faster than his sister, but the mechanic should be stronger than both. With the military/police, they should be more proficient firearms and other conventional weaponry.



As long as you keep a pretty good plot with this, it could turn out really good.

you seem to be incorporating everything good about videogames but i think you will find that not all those things will fit without a large budget. and its gotta be on ps3 or xbox to fix that much memory. very nice concept tho. its kinda like alan wake. one thing tho wont it be hard to be constantly adjusting the view while fighting and interacting.
I wouldn't. Sounds too much like Resident Evil imo.
